Blu Monsoon
Cleveland’s contemporary jazz trio, Blu Monsoon, is one of the most recognizable bands in Ohio averaging over 120 public performances per year at music venues, restaurants, wineries and special events such as The Tri-C and Wooster jazz festivals. Additionally, Blu Monsoon brings their smooth sounds to a variety of private functions such as weddings, country clubs, and corporate events.

Blu Monsoon was formed in 2012 with primary members Mike Schirch (piano, band leader), Adam Hradisky (drums), and Jeff Jeric (bass). They have since released several original recordings including At 21 and Daisy (2012), Hot Tub Maintenance (2013), Three (2015), Low Tide (2018), and Blu Christmas (2019), as well as a handful of Spotify singles. Blu Monsoon’s original, instrumental music (written by Mike Schirch) is composed to have broad appeal without being cliché or feeling like “elevator music.” In addition to their original material, Blu Monsoon performs unique arrangements of jazz standards such as The Chicken, Autumn Leaves, Chameleon, and Fly Me to the Moon. If classic jazz isn’t your cup of tea, Blu Monsoon also plays arrangements of pop hits by artists such as Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, Amy Winehouse, and Ariana Grande.
